Kylie Loebel
Kylie discovered her love for ceramics in 2010 during a community college class, finding joy in the calming and imaginative nature of working with clay. Originally an Early Childhood Teacher, Kylie completed a Certificate III and Diploma of Ceramics at TAFE and has been a full-time potter for the past three years.
Despite the demands of teaching preschool pottery classes, running workshops, and selling her work locally, Kylie finds a meditative quality in the process. Experimenting with colored clays and textures through carving, she adds a unique touch to every creation. Each piece, taking weeks from clay preparation to final firing, is a testament to her commitment to the craft.
The name Yellow Robin stems from the cheerful birds that initially caught Kylie's attention when her studio was built. As she watches them dart around the trees, she hopes her ceramics bring the same joy and smiles to others.
