Jo Plater
Jo has been involved in pottery since she was 19. Enjoying lessons with some amazing potters in the Richmond area of Sydney for 3 years. She was so inspired by her teacher Annie who still is pottering in her 80s.
Jo then ventured into selling her pottery regularly at markets, shops and creating her own pottery party’s that her friends hosted to help her sell her pottery. She then had a break from pottery to raise her children and grow her other passion for helping people through holistic counselling.
Her Beach theme focuses on wind chimes with shells hanging from a dome or beach sticks , bowls and pots with beach themed shells, starfish and turtles.
Her bush themed pottery focuses on wind chimes with leaves, frogs and lizards on a pottery log. She loves making lizards and frogs for her plant pots and bowls.
Jo had always wanted to be involved in a pottery shop and together with other amazing ladies has created a space to sell their pottery and to help hold workshops, to inspire other children and adults to be creative with clay."
